The programs of the foundation under the direction of the chairman of the board of trustees Helge Haaser in Tutzing at the Starnberger lake are to contribute to counteract problems, like among other things ethics loss, moral erosion, lack of sense, egomania. The aim is to promote healthy eating and exercise and to create implementation models that support the enjoyment of learning and science.
Among other things, the foundation is currently supporting the “Kalypso” project for hearing and speech-impaired children who need intensive support in order to come to terms with their hearing impairment and the resulting change in their life situation. The participating children have the opportunity to perceive and express their own and others’ feelings through painting. The usually laborious access to the “world knowledge” happens here by playful, creative form and supplements and supports the language development of the children. The project will take place in the Munich Heilpädagogische Tagesstätte (HTP) of the BLWG until spring 2008 and will be supervised by a group pedagogue and psychologist.
