Consultants, lawyers and representatives met for the first roundtable discussion in Munich and discussed the current pension situation of self-employed persons and family members working in owner-managed companies.
Press release from 27.07.06
From Munich at the table sat the pension advisor Mirko Dost; attorney Johannes Fiala, lawyer and examined financial and investment advisor;
Richard Schaurich Chairman of the Association of Self-Employed, Bavarian Regional Association, and the pension expert Christian Marchsreiter,
Director of the Institute for Social Security Regulation (IRSV).
Dr. jur., an expert on occupational pension schemes, travelled from Jena. Claus Fuchs. The invitation was extended by Dr. Albert Bruer, publisher and editor-in-chief of the
Performance, Oberhaching.
The participants of the discussion group mainly criticized that the constitutional state rarely shows itself willing enough to offer its citizens
citizens the necessary security of supply through the statutory social security system and about the dramatic consequences of a
that he was not obliged to take out insurance when it was discovered too late.
This has a particularly serious impact on the pension situation of older employees who, although they have been working for decades in the
have paid into social security and then – due to the legal situation – cannot rely on the hoped-for social protection. You get
in the case of an employment relationship not subject to compulsory insurance, only then a legally binding clarification of their personal
Supply situation if they take care of it themselves. Which usually happens way too late and is rarely fixable enough.
The majority of so-called pension consultants are familiar with the manifold tasks around the topic of social security clearing as well as
completely overstretched in terms of legal security and security of supply. They reduce the solution to their clients’ problems solely to the sale of
insurance products, irrespective of the resulting own liability risks and possible subsequent claims by the social insurance institutions
to the address of their consulting clients.
In view of the legal situation and current developments, there is a need for qualified advisors and recognised experts to play a role.
The result of the first Munich roundtable discussion can be read in the July/August issue of Performance. The entire
The expert discussion was recorded as a sound recording on two DVDs and can be ordered for a nominal fee of 20 Euro (plus VAT and shipping).
